Agra College stands as one of India's oldest institutions. It was established in 1823 A.D., owing its inception to the pioneering efforts of the distinguished Sanskrit scholar and astrologer Pandit Gangadhar Shastri. Originally a government college, it later came under the management of a Board of Trustees and a Committee of Management. Throughout its existence, the college has been privileged to influence illustrious personalities who have achieved notable recognition on national and international platforms. Affiliated with Gautam Buddha Technical University and accredited by NAAC Grade 'A', the institution takes pride in being the alma mater of the first graduate in Uttar Pradesh and the first law graduate in Northern India. Agra College offers diverse programs, including a one-year Mass Communication & Media diploma course and degrees in Commerce, B.Ed, and Biotechnology under a self-financing scheme. The college emphasises the pursuit of modern education and is equipped with modern facilities such as a Wi-Fi campus, central instrumentation lab, computerised library, banking services, indoor gaming areas, and accommodation facilities.
