Napier Museum is one of India's oldest museums for art and natural history. The museum opened in the 19th century and housed excellent 11th to 18th-century collections. The museum has a pretty good selection of an exhibition totalling around 550. With its distinctive ornamentation, this architectural structure stands as a landmark in the town. They hold a range of art and artefacts like sculptures. The museum has an impressive red-shaded building adorned with stained glass windows and four massive watchtowers following a specific pattern of colour. This architectural masterpiece is well-known for its Indo-Saracenic structure, Gothic roofs and minarets. The building's interior architecture is a fascinating mixture of Kerala, Mughal, Chinese & Indian traditional architectural styles.

'Kerala State Science & Technology Museum & Priyadarsini Planetarium' is an autonomous organisation set up by the Government of Kerala in 1984 to act as a dynamic platform for public science communication. The Priyadarsini Planetarium is attached to the museum, functioning since 1994. The museum is also a leisure centre for research cum and a significant tourist attraction. The museum split into three separate buildings, with nine galleries dedicated to popular science, electronics, robotics, automotive, and mathematics. In addition, the museum has galleries with more than 300 exhibits on energy, electronics, control and motion mechanics, galleries on popular science. The museum is popular with students at schools, colleges, universities, and the general public.

Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre is a major space research centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation, focusing on rocket and space vehicles for India's satellite programme. The Centre gives a tell-tale account of the infancy of the Indian Space Programme. The story is unfolded in six sections, including history, technology, applications, education, global, and future. A film theatre with a surround-sound system shows the Indian space program with specially tailored films. The museum also scaled-down models of GSLV, GSLV MK-III, and ATV (one fifth in size).
