2026 Update: Akshaya Trust currently cares for over 400+ senior citizens across seven homes located in Mudichur, Pallikaranai, Valasaravakkam, Pallavakkam, Velappanchavadi, KK Nagar, and Arpakkam. Out of these, 80 elders are completely bedridden and receive round-the-clock care. They provide free housing, nutritious meals, medical care, entertainment, and most importantly, love and dignity to destitute elders. Their facilities include clean and spacious rooms, western toilets, washing machines, solar power, and generators to ensure uninterrupted comfort. Each resident has personal lockers for their belongings, and they strive to create a compassionate environment where vulnerable individuals receive care and opportunities for growth. They also run Akshaya Vidyalaya, a free English medium school for over 240 underprivileged students, and continue to expand their community development efforts with transparency and sustainability."
