I had couple of hours to catch my train in Coiambatore, hence decided to visit this popular Lord Murugan temple, reached the Marudamalai basement with private vechicle and then I reached the hill top by shuttles service provided by state government. It was pleasant visit. Even though it is weekday there was considerable devotees from various part of the state assembled to pray with Lord Murugan. One of the popular place for Lord Murugan devotees.

This is very famous temple in coimbatore. People come here from many places to worship god Vinayaka. For new vehicles, new business come here for special pooja. In the side there is sacred fig tree under which naagar statues are present. It will be cool inside the temple always and is not closed in afternoons. This temple has golden chariot, goshala, flower garden, yagasala, a shop having spiritual book, holy threads and vinayaga's photos. This temple is very spacious and not so crowded in weekdays except on monthly chaturthi's. Every day annadhanam is offered in afternoons. Restrooms are available here.
